Saturday 05. of May 2007

In this thread of our 3rd online conference "New Forms of School Bullying and Violence: Cyberbullying, Happy Slapping and Other New Trends" we debated about the differences between ‘traditional’ face-to-face bullying and cyberbullying. In our discussion we - of course - did not manage to resolve our overall question on whether there is a difference between traditional school bullying and cyberbullying or not. Nevertheless various very interesting thoughts and point of views resulted from our discussions that we would like to share with you.

There are two different positions that resulted from our discussions:

Some of us pointed out that "school bullying and cyber bullying are i...

Wednesday 04. of April 2007

The 4th online conference, titled “School Bullying and Violence: The Role of Media” gathered 33 participants from 19 countries from May 15 to June 9, 2006. Journalists, media policy makers, researchers, SBV experts, communication practitioners, NGO and educational institutions representatives shared their views, knowledge and experience on how the information about SBV should be reflected by media

In the third week of discussions we proposed to explore the role of media audience, more precisely of media target groups. Effects and media programs

Tuesday 20. of February 2007

The 33 participants of the 4th online conference ““School Bullying and Violence: The Role of Media”, held between May 15 to June 9, discussed about the effects and media programs, too.
